Domestic Maintenance

Due to our glorious summer failures, we have plenty of reasons to give our pools a miss but if we are only able to grab a few chosen moments the last thing we want is for our pool to be glowing green or freezing cold just when we want to use it.

At Cardiff Pool and Spa we offer a full maintenance service for both domestic and commercial, from a one off visit to a tailor made service package which can include:


Tailored to you, one off visits, weekly, daily, monthly, yearly! Up to you We offer a comprehensive stock of chemicals and spares for all situations and are happy to advise or implement anything you need. If we don't have it in stock we can arrange for delivery usually within a day or two.

For all pool owners who enjoy the daily pool clean, give us a call and maybe we can advise you of something your missing or chemicals you could be using to help your task easier. Useful Tips

It always advisable to have a look at 'o' rings, lids, plugs, electrics etc at the start of each season's opening. It makes sense to prolong the life of your pool and equipment with regular check

Backwash regulary (and rinse after)

Your pool should be balanced, the main things to check for are:

  1. Chlorine
  2. PH
  3. Alkalinity
  4. Calcium hardness
  5. Total dissolved solids

Commerical Maintenance

Cardiff Pool and Spa is your local supply and service company for all wet leisure facilities.We can offer a full range of water treatment chemicals, together with service and maintenance contracts, microbiological testing, pool operator training and health and safety advice. In addition we service and install sauna and steam equipment and can supply a range of cleaning and hygiene products. We are agents for a full range of Certikin, Plastica, Hayward, etc pool parts

Service and Maintenance

CPS can tailor service to suit your facility, depending on the equipment and personnel that you have. We offer regular maintenance of dosing and control equipment, underwater lights etc. We also offer water quality testing, servicing of major items such as filtration and circulation pumps etc, the supply of all equipment and spares necessary,as well as a call out service for one off or out of hours problems. Operators have a legal duty to ensure that plant and equipment is regularly maintained by competent persons

Chemical Supply

CPS offers a full range of water treatment, testing products and equipment which can be collected from our showroom or delivered to your door. We have no minimum quantities nor delivery charges. We also supply a range of cleaning and hygiene products designed for leisure facilities including products designed to remove biofilms from the internal pipework of spa pools, alternative oxidising products that enable the re-occupation of a pool or spa only one hour after shock dosing the pool, gym wipes convenient hygiene cloths for gym equipment etc.

Microbiological Testing

Microbiological testing and on-site detection of waterborne bacteria that may exist within bio-film. Bacteria are classed as substances hazardous to health under the COSHH regulations, and microbiological monitoring is part of the legal responsibility to monitor the effectiveness of control measures. CPS offer a complete service of microbiological monitoring. Current guidance from the Health and Safety Executive via the Health Protection Agency recommends monthly microbiological testing of pools and spas.

Training

CPS can provide training from a basic course of understanding pools and water analysis up to the National Pool Plant Operators Certificate of ISRM. Under Health and Safety legislation employees have a legal responsibility to ensure that staff are provided with 'suitable and sufficient training' to enable them to carry out their duties safely.

Health and Safety

CPS can evaluate your own in house health and safety procedures and practices in relation to your health suite and pool area. We can also assist you in the updating of your operating procedures to keep pace with current legislation.
